Frequently Asked Questions
Come Closer opens with a new experience of breath and singing. Next, two participants at a time share music that has meaning for them at that moment, and everyone listens together. Facilitated discussion ensues leading to new awareness and understanding. Closing and Q&A complete each 75-minute session.
People who want to discover or recover friendships, open their hearts and minds, and have faith/doubt or conviction/curiosity. Teens through seasoned citizens welcome!
Bill Protzmann has been facilitating transformative music sessions for more than 30 years. The National Council for Behavioral Healthcare recognized Bill’s work with at-risk people in 2014. Bill is the living breathing example of how using music with intention brings us closer to each other, and Come Closer is part of his ministry.
While Musimorphic offers a video/remote two-person version of Come Closer, Bill is available anywhere in the world to do donation-based in-person sessions for groups of any size. Travel by land within two hours of San Diego, California is included; for other destinations, let’s discuss. Here is a booking link; we request a token deposit of $50 USD to secure your spot on the calendar.
We travel locally with professional audio capable of filling a medium-sized hall, and, for quiet environments such as a classroom or home, wireless headsets for as many as 8 participants are available. For in-house sound systems, please let the engineer know that we will connect our wireless bluetooth receiver to the system’s stereo RCA inputs for input from an iPad or MacBook Pro on stage.
At this time, sessions in languages other than English will require an interpreter to work alongside Bill.
