Theories of Change

A theory of change is not a worldview, a party, or an economic school — those name where an entity stands; this names how it believes change is produced. The axis runs independent of the others: the same method serves opposite ends (a vanguard imposing a total order calibrates alike whether Marxist or theocratic), and the same conviction splits into opposite methods. The calibration reads the method, not the goal — ALEC calibrates low for how it works, not what it wants.

These entries were chosen partly for a verifiable track record — decades of action whose effects can actually be read. Newer movements like DEI and Black Lives Matter are deliberately held back: their aims are clear, but their enacted results aren’t yet settled enough to calibrate honestly. On this scale a method earns its place by what it has demonstrably done.
