The Balance Ring

Set where an entity's beliefs actually sit, and the field β€” the level those beliefs produce together β€” becomes a threshold. Every mechanism-family of change falls to one side of it: qualified to carry the field (its range reaches or exceeds it) or disqualified (its whole range sits below, with no map of where the entity already stands). Both lists stay open β€” pick any family to read how its mechanism would meet the desired change.

The ring needs the entity’s Economic, Political, and Worldview positions to set the threshold.

Qualified familiesβ€”
The field is the root-mean-square of the three belief axes β€” the level they produce together, dragged down hardest by the lowest. It is drawn as the bold threshold ring. A chosen mechanism-family is plotted as a band: its range sits outside the ring where it exceeds the field, inside where it falls below, and straddles the ring when the field lands inside its range β€” the most resonant case, where the mechanism operates at the entity's level. Resonance is one-sided β€” a high mechanism reaches down for free, but a low one cannot reach up to ground it has never stood on. Both lists stay open on purpose: the disqualified families teach as much as the qualified, by showing what dissonance looks like.
